Google has detailed how its upcoming Android backup storage policy will work after notifying users by email. The change will make device backups consume Google Account storage and pause automatic backups if available space runs out. Users will also gain more control over backup content on Android 9 and newer devices, while the Google One storage manager will show backup size and offer storage management options.
