Western Union has partnered with stablecoin infrastructure platform Rain to launch Stablecard, a digital wallet with a Visa card that enables users to store, transfer and spend the dollar-backed USDPT stablecoin. Initially available in 37 countries, the service allows remittance recipients to receive funds directly into a stablecoin wallet and make payments through Visa's global merchant network. The company plans to expand the offering to over 60 countries this year.
