WhatsApp is said to be adding a redesign to how online status is displayed in the app. In the latest WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.24.5, the company replaced the 'online' label from the chat info screen with a green dot displayed directly on a contact's profile photo. Additionally, WhatsApp is said to be developing a dedicated in-app backup management section that will allow users to view, delete, and organise previous backups to free up storage space.
