Apple is in early talks with Intel, the US-based tech giant, to offer a chip manufacturing contract to the company for future Apple SoCs, according to a report citing people with knowledge of the matter. On top of this, executives of the Cupertino company have reportedly visited the new Samsung facility in Texas, which is currently under construction, and which could manufacture “advanced chips” for the Tim Cook-led firm. This is said to allow the company to shift its chip manufacturing to the US, reducing its dependence on Taiwan-based TSMC.
